Limitations and notes

  • Crestron Home 4-series. The driver is built on the Crestron Home entity model and loads as an extension device (Date-Time).
  • Ten events and ten delays. Both are fixed numbers. Alarms and timers have no fixed limit.
  • One alarm or timer is edited at a time from the panels. If two people edit two different alarms on two panels at the same moment, both panels edit whichever was opened last. The Alarm Clock app doesn't have this limitation.
  • Missed alarms aren't run late. Anything due while the processor was off is recorded as Missed in the history. A repeating alarm carries on as normal the next time.
  • Lighting scenes need the Web API. Enable the Crestron Home Web API and reboot the processor. Enabling it without a reboot leaves the scene list empty.
  • Chimes need the LCD Sonos Chime driver on the same processor.
  • English only. The version 4 driver's French translations aren't in this version yet.
  • No "room tile pressed" event. Pressing the tile opens the panel.
Not an in-place upgrade from version 4

Alarm Clock V2 is a new driver and doesn't read the version 4 driver's alarms, timers or event names. Set them up again, and point programming at the new driver's events. The licence key still works, because V2 keeps the same product SKU.

Alarm Clock app has no authentication

The browser app's API is unauthenticated, in common with LCD's other Crestron web components. Any device on the customer's network can read the alarms and change them.
